Happy Fall! The leaves are changing colors, falling to the ground and the weather is changing. Just like the seasons change our relationship with God changes. As we spend more time in His Word we learn more and more about God and we experience a deeper and deeper love for Him. Each Sunday when we gather to worship, we experience God in meaningful ways. The music speaks to us, the reading of Scripture, the fellowship with one another – all brings us closer to God and to one another. There is something so special about praying together on Sundays. It’s powerful and it lifts our souls knowing we are not trying to do this life all alone. Through the church – the people of God – we find a safe place to rest our weary souls and share our lives together. Just as the season changes from summer to fall, we find a change in our hearts when we lift up in prayer all that is worrying us, all that is bringing us stress and all that we are fearful of in life. God is waiting to take on our burdens. He is waiting for us to come to him and unload all that we have on our hearts. On the other side of that we find peace, contentment and joy all through His Son, Jesus Christ.
My prayer for you all this fall season is that you will seek God and look forward to the many changes that are ahead. I hope that you be intentional about stopping and looking around to see the amazing changes of the season and all that God has created for us to enjoy. We live in such a beautiful area. Take time to enjoy it and may God bless you during this Fall Season.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1
Be blessed,
Pastor Julie
